Saturday 2

We left Sacre Couer and headed to the major Cemetery in Paris. It was quite impressive. Crowded, stoney, and huge. Some of the grave-markers just barely missed the bottom of the highway bridge that crosses over the cemetery. It was really impressive to see a cemetery that was so old. There were trees coming out of super old graves and Hector Berlioz was even buried there. It was really fun to just wander through the streets of Paris on our way there too. It's easy to get turned around here because the city isn't planned out at 90 degree angles by any means...just look at this street.

Also, there are so many side-streets and one way streets, and only intended for pedestrians stairways, that aren't on the maps. So if you do get lost, it usually takes awhile to realize that you are headed the wrong way.

We stopped and had lunch on a nice long stairway...and everyone stared at us as they went up. It was like they could tell we had packed our own sandwiches that time-they weren't as good by the way.
Here's the cemetery:And a really pretty grave...
